Digitally-Focused Sessions

Digital content creation and distribution was a topic in multiple tracks at NATPE Miami. Four sessions which garnered standing-room-only audiences were “Navigating the Wave of New Video Platforms,” “Multi-Platform Challenges: Senior Executives Discuss Their Approaches,” “Development in the Digital Age: Inside the New Era of Writer’s Rooms” and “The Rise of New OTT Platforms.”

The first of these, “Navigating the Wave of New Video Platforms” – a discussion curated and led by Jim Louderback (currently at Wochit, formerly of Revision3) – featured speakers Adi Sideman (YouNow), Kirstine Stewart (Twitter), Tom Hanc (AJ+) and Bart Baker (Digital Influencer/Internet Personality).

The Nielsen Company produced and curated the session “Multi-Platform Challenges: Senior Executives Discuss Their Approaches”; moderator Matt O’Grady (Nielsen) was joined by Larry Wert (Tribune Broadcasting), Louis Gump (NewsON Media), Stacey Lynn Schulman (Katz Media Group), Kevin Conroy (Univision Communications Inc.) and Kevin Gallagher (Starcom).

Kathleen Grace of New Form Digital both moderated and assisted in curating a terrific lineup of panelists for “Development in the Digital Age: Inside the New Era of Writer’s Rooms,” including Amy Emmerich (Refinery 29 Inc.), Andrea Schrager (UM Studios), Nathan Hayden (AOL), Ivana Kirkbride (Vessel) and Ryan Finnerty (Smosh/Defy Media).
