Pitch & Play Live in Budapest...

Welcoming the most innovative regional content producers, the goal of PITCH & PLAY LIVE! is to showcase and recognize original format ideas with international potential from the CEE and EMEA regions. Any non-scripted format created after June 1, 2017 can be submitted for consideration in the competition. From all entries, up to ten titles will be selected and reviewed by an international committee of global content industry professionals, who will select three finalists. The top three formats will be presented at a dedicated session by their creators in front of a jury of highly respected TV professionals during NATPE BUDAPEST INTERNATIONAL. After deliberation by the jury one format will be named the winner of PITCH & PLAY LIVE!

This year NATPE is offering producers the opportunity to attend NATPE BUDAPEST INTERNATIONAL and participate in PITCH & PLAY LIVE! for a single participation fee of 100 EUR (or USD$125) + VAT. Producers can submit their content for the contest and also receive one full registration for NATPE BUDAPEST INTERNATIONAL, providing complete access to the entire marketplace and conference. In addition to media coverage, the winning format will receive a registration and two (2) nights of hotel accommodation for NATPE MIAMI 2019 alongside development meetings with leading distributors during the event.

Submissions must include a one-page description of the format in English, a trailer of three minutes or less and at least one full episode, both with English subtitles. NATPE will review all registrations to ensure that all Producers are vetted and approved for participation.


Nelly Feld, Head of Sales, Acquisitions and International Relations,

Nelly Feld heads up Reshet Media's International Department since October 2017. The previous five years Nelly was managing Keshet International's European distribution and operations. Before she moved to Israel Nelly studied law at the University of Vienna and at King's College London with a specialisation in Intellectual Property. During her time in England she worked for the legal departments of big entertainment companies such as NBC Universal and Warner Brothers.

Damien Porte, Vice President, International Sales, Vivendi Entertainment

Damien Started his career in 2003 with Factual entertainment prod/distrib company AMPERSAND, in Paris where he held a position of manager of international sales to CEE and then gradually extended its remit to Asia the MEA. In 2008, he moved to Los Angeles and graduated with an MBA from Pepperdine in 2010. At the same time, he started working in the format business with a position at Sony, with the format development and acquisition team. In 2010, he joined FOX LOOK as an executive manager in charge of format distribution, working on sales of shows such as “Temptation Island”, “Beauty and the Geek”, “The Swan”, etc. In mid-2011, Damien partnered up with Matthieu Porte (former head of format sales and acquisitions at ZODIAK) to launch CAN’T STOP media, a format distribution boutique based in London. In addition to the distribution of content, the activity extended to consulting activity & new format development (launches including “MUM OF THE WEEK”). The relationship strengthening with the Canal+ Group, CAN’T STOP was ultimately acquired by Vivendi in 2015 to be integrated as a new internal unit: VIVENDI ENTERTAINMENT. At VE, Damien is Vice President, in charge of international sales and business development and currently is working on titles including GUESS MY AGE, COUPLE OR NOT?, SLAM, FACING THE CLASSROOM, etc.

Andrew Sime, VP of Formats, Banijay Rights

Andrew Sime joined international distributor Banijay Rights in 2013, tasked with maximising the company’s format sales around the world. With a particular focus on Asia and Central and Eastern Europe, Andrew works both with Banijay Group companies, and companies outside the Group footprint, to help theglobal rollout of major entertainment brands such as Child Support, Ladette To Lady and Wife Swap. Prior to joining Banijay Rights, Andrew was Head of Acquisitions at Global Agency, and held acquisitions and research roles at Endemol International and 2waytraffic (Sony Pictures Television).
