The twenty-sixth free, biannual Career Day will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at centrally located KRON-TV, 1001 Van Ness Avenue, between Geary Boulevard and O’Farrell Street, San Francisco, 94109.
Breakfast will be at 8:30 AM, the program at 9:15 AM, lunch at noon, the Job Fair at 12:30 PM, and the tour of KRON-TV from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.
KRON-TV is within walking distance of the BART Civic Center stop, and by MUNI from Caltrain’s San Francisco station.
Among the highlights of the day will be the awarding of three $1,500 scholarships by Clear Channel Communications to attending registered students from Northern California universities and community colleges from whom RSVPs (See below) have been received and confirmed.

NATPE Scholarship Foundation Career Day Producer
The Faculty Development Grant Program gives college and university media educators the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a professional media environment. The Program allows teaching faculty to spend up to six weeks of the summer “interning” with a TV station, cable system, broadcast or cable network or program distributor. The goals are to increase teaching effectiveness through first-hand experience and to nurture relationships between educators and the industry.

The Faculty Fellowship Program provides selected college & university media faculty with complete access to the sessions and activities of the annual NATPE Market & Conference. The goal of the Program is twofold: to expose the educational community to current television issues and practices, and to foster improved communication and cooperation between educators and the industry.
The annual NATPE Market & Conference attracts executives from around the world for sessions featuring leaders from all facets of the global telecommunications industry, along with hundreds of exhibiting companies. NATPE promises to continue offering the world of television to all participants under one roof.
As a NATPE Faculty Fellow, you will be part of this exciting event.
*Note: Selected applicants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the Conference.
