‘TELENOVELAS BY GLOBO: BIG HITS ANATOMY’ gathers top creators to share the formula for success of their stories  

August 27, 2021 – This year, Brazilian telenovela celebrate its 70th anniversary, 45 of which command a strong and successful sales record in the international market. In a digital event held in a partnership with NATPE exclusively for buyers and distributors all around the world, GLOBO, will reinforce the relevance and the competitive edge of the genre, as well as the success of GLOBO telenovelas worldwide, while sharing the reasons Brazilian telenovelas create actual success cases and drive business 

“NATPE V-Fronts presents Telenovelas by Globo: Big Hits Anatomy’ reveals cases from the recent production of “Sweet Diva”, a story of overcoming and optimism, and “A Life Worth Living”, which brings a positive message and shows that life must be valued at every moment. These two stories, that have been earning over fans wherever they run, will be showcased in addition to family drama “Once We Were Six”, a remake of a Brazilian literature classic that has been a hit throughout decades. “Once We Were Six” is also the most recent release from GLOBO, the largest producing company in Latin America, in the market. 

The showcase presentation will be headed by British journalist Ali May, writer and producer , who has hosted leading industry executives and Hollywood megastars at European events, such as Berlinale, MIPCOM and Content London. The event will count on the participation of the renowned authors and directors of the three super productions to share the ingredients that engage audiences and more details about their creations. 

For “Sweet Diva”, a telenovela currently running in countries such as Argentina, Uruguay and Chile and already licensed in 60 countries, Emmy International winner writer Walcyr Carrasco (also responsible for the Emmy Winner ‘Hidden Truths’) will tell what his inspiration was to write the plot, and director Amora Mautner (who also directed the International Emmy Winner ‘Precious Pearl’) will share details on the directing process. 

As for the hit “A Life Worth Living”, 2020 Rose D’or Awards Nominee telenovela that was also sold to more than 60 countries among which Belgium and Poland, writer Rosane Svartman and director Luiz Henrique Rios will be discussed their process. The duo will explain how the plot was designed around a friendship between generations and in different social classes, relaying to the public a message to value life.   

The other success presented in the showcase will be the drama “Once We Were Six”, which revolves around the strength of a matriarch and her family, living short on limited resources, but surrounded by affection. Sharing the success attributes and factors that go into created a sucessful the family saga, writer Angela Chaves and director Carlos Araújo will comment on the challenges of producing the telenovela remake of a that was a hit across different decades, but remains current, and continues to engage new audiences.

27 August 2021 – Este año, la telenovela brasileña cumple 70 años, y 45 de ellos con la fuerte presencia de Globo en la venta de producciones exitosas para el mercado internacional. Y para reforzar la relevancia y competitividad del género, y el éxito de las telenovelas de GLOBO por el mundo, la productora más grande de América Latina compartirá los motivos que hacen de las telenovelas brasileñas verdaderos casos de éxito y business drivers en un evento digital en colaboración con NATPE exclusivamente para compradores y distribuidores de todo el mundo. 

“NATPE V-Fronts™ presents Telenovelas by Globo: Big Hits Anatomy’ revela casos de las producciones recientes “Dulce Ambición”, trama sobre superación y optimismo, y “Suerte de Vivir”, que trae un mensaje positivo y muestra que la vida debe ser valorizada cada momento – dos historias que vienen conquistando nuevos aficionados por donde pasa –, además del drama familiar “Éramos Seis”, remake de un clásico de la literatura brasileña que ha tenido éxito a lo largo de décadas y el más reciente lanzamiento de la empresa en el mercado.  

La presentación del showcase estará a cargo del periodista británico Ali May, escritor y productor que ha sido anfitrión de importantes ejecutivos de la industria y megaestrellas de Hollywood en eventos europeos, como Berlinale, MIPCOM y Content London. El evento contará con la participación de renombrados autores y directores de las tres superproducciones para compartir los ingredientes que atraen a la audiencia y más detalles de las obras.  

Para hablar del caso “Dulce Ambición” en el aire actualmente en países como Argentina, Uruguay y Chile y ya con licencia para 60 países, el autor Walcyr Carrasco (responsable por el éxito ganador del Emmy Internacional ‘Verdades Secretas’) contará cómo fue la inspiración para escribir la trama y la directora Amora Mautner (también directora de la telenovela ganadora del Emmy Internacional ‘Preciosa Perla’), compartirá detalles del proceso de dirección. 

Sobre el hit “Suerte de Vivir”, telenovela nominada al Rose D’or Awards 2020 que también ya fue vendida a más de 60 países, entre ellos Bélgica y Polonia, entrarán en la discusión la autora Rosane Svartman y el director Luiz Henrique Rios. Ellos explicarán cómo la trama fue diseñada alrededor de una relación de amistad entre generaciones y en diferentes clases sociales, pasándole al público l mensaje de valorización de la vida.   

El otro éxito presentado en el showcase será el drama “Éramos Seis”, que gira alrededor de la fuerza de una matriarca y de su familia, que vive con pocos recursos, pero llena de afecto. Para compartir los atributos y factores de éxito de la saga familiar, la autora Angela Chaves y el director Carlos Araújo comentarán sobre los desafíos de producir un remake que fue un gran éxito en diferentes años y que se mantiene actual atrayendo a nuevas audiencias.
