Born in Rome in 1964, Luca Bernabei graduated in Political Science at La Sapienza University of Rome. He started off his career working in advertising for Italy’s top agencies and trend-setting production companies. Luca is married to Paola Lucantoni and father of six, he loves his family and his country, Italy. In 1994, he became Associate Producer in Lux Vide, where he produced the international TV series “The Bible“. In 2002, he was appointed Head of Production, taking in charge the entire cycle of production, from development to post-production. He was then appointed Chief Executive Officer of Lux Vide. He produced more than 100 projects, including TV-movies, series and mini-series, such as War and Peace, Anna Karenina, Coco Chanel with Shirley McLaine, the longest-running Italian TV series Don Matteo, and I Medici – Masters of Florence, starring Richard Madden and Dustin Hoffman in its first season. More recently, he produced the third season of the Medici saga and of Devils, a conspiracy thriller for Sky Studios starring Patrick Dempsey and Alessandro Borghi and Leonardo, starring Aidan Turner and Freddie Highmore. He’s currently working on the production of over ten new series (for Rai, Mediaset and SKY).
