Language was, is and will always be one of the major obstacles facing different companies, from different countries, who are working together. This is even more true in the media and content industry, where nuance in imagery and sound is so very important. Regions differ in their possibilities, as dubbing, subtitling and pure original version countries exist. Sometimes languages as English provide a bridge, but at the same time authenticity becomes always more important. Bringing them together challenges the creative process in many ways. Actors not acting and directors not directing in their native language might influence the quality of what is done. We shall highlight and discuss by introducing various projects where language barriers were crossed and how it was done. Attend this session to keep your project from getting lost in translation.
