Case Study Lunch Session: HBO - ARANYÉLET (''Golden Life'')
Tuesday, 28 June, 12P - 1:30P

ARANYÉLET is an 8 hour drama series produced by HBO Europe. It aired in Hungary in Fall 2015 to great acclaim. A second season is in production. Based on the Finnish format HELPPO ELÄMÄ (“Easy Living”), local writers adapted the story and characters to Hungary. What drew HBO to the project? What were the considerations for adaptation? What was the writing process? How did HBO Europe approach the production? These and other questions will be examined by HBO Europe, and Gabor Krigler, HBO Hungary’s Creative Executive who developed and oversaw the show creatively and HBO Europe Production Executive Anna Zavorszky. They will be joined for this special lunch session by the series’ producer Judit Stalter from Laokoon Films, the production company behind SON OF SAUL, winner of the 2016 Oscar for Best Film in a Foreign Language, and other members of the production team.
