Manager, Television Programming and Acquisition Buyers Relations


The Manager, Buyers Relations is a newly created position focusing on building strong business intelligence and relationships with top global buyers of audiovisual and multimedia content across all platforms and to deliver an ROI driven conference experience by facilitating matchmaking and one-on-one meetings at all our tent pole events. The ideal candidate has 5 years or more experience working in International sales at a major broadcaster or distribution company


•Research, write, and maintain database of US and international buyers targeting all sectors including broadcasters, distribution companies, cable, digital, SVOD and telco operators

•Develop strong relationship with these buyers to acquire business intelligence and improve their experience at our events through pre-market and onsite support

•Develop a lead generation strategy to identify new buyers and trends

•Identify VIP buyers and coordinate VIP buyers’ programs for all events

•Responsible for facilitating one on one meetings and provide support for matchmaking services between buyers and sellers

•Meet both short and long term goals as directed by supervisor

Main Functions:

•Regular outreach to buyers on benefits of market attendance

•Facilitate buyer outreach by cultivating new buyer relationships

•Match buyers and sellers through business intelligence and intuitive online interface to meet clients’ needs

•Generate buyers’ reports providing functional direction

•Work closely with all departments to achieve effectiveness of all buyers’ programs

•Coordinate eblasts and social media campaigns to buyers with marketing and sales

•Address customer service issues related to buyers’ relations and set up orientation onsite guidance for new buyers

•Work with all departments and international reps

•Evaluate programs and events for relevancy and success

•Works with registration company to vet buyers’ applications for events.


•Excellent communication and presentation skills

•Extremely detailed oriented and organized

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•Working knowledge of Salesforce and data tools

•Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required

•Comfortable with substantial input into above functions from multiple departments
