Temporary Marketing Coordinator

As the Temporary Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for collaborating with the internal marketing team on the development and execution of marketing/outreach plans for NATPE||2015. NATPE’s creative marketing team develops and executes a variety of work that translates the company’s objectives into strategic, purposeful solutions.  The marketing coordinator will have specific responsibility to support company efforts to maintain a successful, dynamic social media presence. Cultivate and grow online relationships with key target audiences, and seek new opportunities to integrate social media into our strategic marketing objectives. The coordinator will also act as the key liaison with our media partners and perform essential administrative duties required to keep multiple marketing and promotion projects on track. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, the coordinator must interface with all members of the marketing team and many of the other internal departments.


Please note: this is a temporary full-time position beginning September 29, 2014 and ending January 31, 2015. The position pays $15 per hour and is not eligible for benefits except overtime pay as required and parking fees are covered. You must be able to work at the NATPE offices based in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.


Areas of responsibility:

Marketing support:


  • Manage, update and enhance through creative efforts social media activities across all platforms including; Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and other blogs and social media channels.

  • Support the daily collection and writing of content for blog posts and in-house eblasts.

  • Track and coordinate the fulfillment of approximately 75 media and organization partners agreements.

  • Manage the ad insertion deadlines and schedule for both print and online creative delivery.

  • Support web content manager through daily checks of all web site links and content

  • Lead research efforts on topics related to audience and event development

  • Develop invitation list and track RSVPs for major award event held during the annual conference

Administrative support:


  • Oversee projects from start to completion in a timely manner.

  • Performs office and clerical duties that are moderately complex. Follows set procedures and also be capable of exercising independent judgment in carrying out instructions.

  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced sometimes pressured situations.

Desired skills and requirements:


  • At least three years’ experience in marketing including multi-channel marketing, social media execution and project management.

  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals including direct, inbound, and content marketing methods.

  • Skills and experience in content creation and integration.

  • Strong demonstrated copywriting and editing skills with fast output.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to be an effective team player

  • Able to set and meet multiple and simultaneous deadlines.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PPT/Keynote. HTML a plus.

  • Experience with using CRM databases especially Salesforce

  • Familiarity with U.S. and international television business a plus.

  • Must be willing to commit to four months work schedule including working onsite in Miami Beach at NATPE||2011
