As the Vice President of Communications for ViacomCBS Networks Americas, Michelle Alban oversees Communications and Social Impact for the ViacomCBS International Latin America, Canada, and U.S. Hispanic Americas cluster. She manages c-suite communications and leads the Internal Communications, Social Impact, Public Affairs, Media Relations, Streaming and Publicity departments for Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, Paramount Network, and ViacomCBS International Studios for the region.
Prior to her position as Head of Communications for Viacom Americas, Michelle opened Lima Charlie Communications, a public relations agency, which offered strategic communication counseling. Immediately after the Parkland Shooting, the non-profit organization, Mobilizing MSD (Marjory Stoneman Douglas) Alumni, brought her on board to communicate their message for the March for Our Lives rallies in Parkland and Washington DC. She also coordinated press for WSCV for its 2018 Senatorial and Gubernatorial debates.
As an Air Force Veteran, Michelle has always been a firm believer in giving back to her community. She served as the Communications Chair and Board Member for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, sat as an Advisory Board Member for the Broward County Commission on the Status of Women, and is on the Advisory Board for ViacomCBS Veterans Network. She is currently in the Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class 39 Program, working together with a statewide group of leaders to make a better Florida.
