Shahid Khan is a Partner in Arthur D. Little (ADL) Telecoms, Information Technology, Media & Electronics (TIME) practice, and Managing Partner of MAG (a wholly owned subsidiary of ADL).
Shahid is an acclaimed thought leader, executive and serial entrepreneur in the TIME sectors, with a 25+ year trackrecord across the US, Europe, and the Middle East. As an entrepreneur, Shahid has earned a strong reputation for launching, scaling, and successfully exiting two award winning companies. As a seasoned management consultant, he is sought after by CxOs and boards of TIME sector companies, as well as Private Equity firms to lead innovation, digital
transformation, growth strategy development, portfolio and cost optimization and new business launches. Shahid is the Founder and Managing Partner for MAG, a boutique management consulting firm, trademarked “The UnConsultants” for its hands-on execution-oriented approach. He manages key relationships and engagements for leading media, cable, telecom, and technology clients. Over the years, he has worked on several strategic initiatives focusing on: Corporate Growth Strategy, Product/Portfolio and Cost Rationalization, Digital Transformation, Operational and Technology Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as the launch of new products, services and capabilities, such as: Digital Content and Sports Products, Linear and Over-the-Top (OTT) Video Networks, Digital Education Platforms, Omni-channel Commerce Platforms, Connected Home and IoT Services, Cross-platform and Addressable Advertising, Data/Analytics, Digital Content Supply Chain, etc. MAG was named by Consulting Magazine as one of the “Seven Small Jewels”, an award given to high-growth consulting firms, and was acquired by ADL in April 2021.
Shahid was also the Founder and Chairman of Mediamorph, a cloud platform that disrupted and transformed how players in the digital content ecosystem (TV/Film/Digital Studios and Video Distributors) buy and sell content efficiently and intelligently. Shahid conceptualized and founded the company, led three rounds of funding from strategic Investors such as Liberty Global, Motorola, Advance Newhouse and Smedvig Capital. Since inception in 2010, he played the role of Chief Strategist and Chief Revenue Officer, actively leading the company’s strategy, product vision and roadmap, sales and marketing/PR, acquisition of key customers, management of customer relationships, as well as hiring/retention of top executives and sales team. In 2014, he recruited a veteran management team (CEO, CFO, CRO and CMO) and helped scale the company globally. Mediamorph won the prestigious Cablefax Tech Award for technology innovation, was on Deloitte’s Fast 500 list, and was acquired by Whip Media Group in Q4 2019.
Prior to embarking upon his entrepreneurial ventures, Shahid served as Senior Partner, Head of Media Industry at IBB Consulting (now Accenture); Managing Director and Head of Entertainment industry practice at KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint; Partner and Communication Sector Lead at IBM Global Services.
Shahid holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is on the board of directors of NATPE, a global association for the content industry, and on the board of directors as a finance committee chair of the Manhattan chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), world’s premier peer network of business leaders. He was named as one of the “50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business” and has won other media industry recognitions.
