Kelly Day is President of Streaming for ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI).

In her role, Day leads the division’s streaming business internationally, with oversight of the international roll-out of Paramount+, a new premium SVOD service that’s available internationally in Canada, Latin America, and the Nordics, and will launch in Australia August 11. Day also manages the ongoing expansion of Pluto TV, following its successful launch in Latin America and upcoming launch in Italy.

In her former role as COO of VCNI, Day worked closely with key stakeholders to accelerate the digital transformation of VCNI’s business with a focus on strengthening the company’s digital and streaming operations. Day oversaw critical lines of business including Viacom Digital Studios International (VDSI) and the company’s Location Based Experiences and Events, as well as many of VCNI’s strategic service functions including Finance and Business Intelligence, Business and Legal Affairs and Strategy and Operations.

Prior to that, as President of Viacom Digital Studios (VDS), Day is credited with making ViacomCBS a global leader in digital content and distribution.  Under Day’s leadership, VDS created and distributed thousands of hours of premium digital content across Viacom’s global entertainment brands including MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central, which led Viacom in 2019 to generate nearly 30 billion video views and 49 billion minutes watched, up 32% and 75% YOY.   As President of VDS, Day expanded VDS’ mission and business model through the acquisitions of both AwesomenessTV, the leading media brand and studio for GenZ, and VidCon, the world’s largest festival and conference for online video. She then partnered with VCNI to successfully expand VidCon to Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Mexico and London.

Prior to joining Viacom in 2017, Day served as Chief Digital Officer, then Chief Business Officer, of multiplatform media company Awesomeness where she was responsible for international expansion and global distribution strategies and revenue across television, mobile and OTT providers. She also led product and technology investments across the company, such as mobile and OTT apps, websites, and corporate tools and analytics to drive growth.

Prior to her current position, Day served as CEO of venture-backed Blip Networks, leading the company’s evolution from an online video platform for independent producers to a multi-platform media company. In 2013, she sold Blip to Maker Studios, one of the top YouTube Multichannel Networks.

Before Blip, Day led the Digital Media and Commerce businesses for Discovery Communications, including the company’s sixteen U.S. websites, E-Commerce Operations, Licensing, and Home Entertainment. Day was responsible for developing and executing long-term strategies to drive the growth of these businesses through innovative offerings that leveraged the company’s television and digital assets to grow digital audience and user engagement, and increase product sales. While leading this business, Day was credited with delivering record-breaking growth and bottom-line value for the division.

Prior to joining Discovery, Day served as Vice President of E-Commerce at The Knot, the leading wedding media company, where she spearheaded their e-commerce business and developed partnerships with major retailers, such as Target and Macy’s. Prior to that, she held a variety of E-Commerce positions at AOL, most recently as Executive Director of AOL Shopping, with responsibility for developing new products and platforms at a time when online shopping was becoming a powerful disruptive force in the retail industry.

Day’s expertise in digital media and commerce makes her a sought-after speaker and commentator on the future of television, the evolution of online business models, and the disruption of traditional businesses through emerging technology. She has spoken at numerous industry events, including CES and Digital Hollywood, and is frequently interviewed by major media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg TV, Advertising Age and Variety.

In addition to her professional life, Day is married and has two daughters.
