CEO of Ay Yapım, Producer of Turkey’s Leading Production Company for Turkish Drama Series. Born in Ankara, he graduated from Bilkent University – Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. He completed his education in the Film & TV Programme at UCLA, U.S.

He is known as the Producer of countless successful Drama Series, since 2008’s ground-breaking ‘Aşk-ı Memnu’ (Forbidden Love), to 2009’s ‘Ezel’. ‘Kuzey Güney’, ‘Fatmagul’, ‘Son’ (The End), ‘Karadayı’, ‘Kurt Seyit & Shura’, ‘Kara Para Aşk’ (Black Money Love) , ‘Medcezir’, ‘İçerde’ (Insider) , ‘Cesur ve Güzel’ (Brave and Beautiful), ‘Bu Şehir Arkandan Gelecek’ (Heart of The City), 2016; Fi (Phi), ‘Ufak Tefek Cinayetler’ (Stiletto Vendetta), ‘Çukur’ (The Pit) 2017; ‘Şahsiyet’ (Persona), ‘8. Gün’ (The 8th Day), ‘Çarpışma’ (Crash), ‘Şahin Tepesi’ (Falcon Crest), 2018; ‘Kuzgun’ (2019), Zemheri (Love Storm) and Babil (The Choice), 2020 are his following and recent productions. With Kara Sevda (Endless Love) (2015) he won an Emmy Award in 2017, Turkey’s first International Telenovela Category. And the second award was came from the mini-series “Persona” (Şahsiyet), Haluk Bilginer won as “Best Performance By An Actor” at the International Emmy Awards 2019.

Today Turkey is the world’s second-largest exporter of televised content, and Çatay has continued to push the envelope with recent series.

In addition to television and digital content, Kerem Çatay co-produced his first movie ‘Dedemin İnsanları’ in 2011. ‘Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi’ (A Small September Affair) followed in 2014, ‘Delibal’ in 2015, ‘Daha (More) in 2017, ‘Bizim İçin Şampiyon’(One Love) in 2018, Özgür Dünya (Cult X) in 2019 and ‘Bir Aşk İki Hayat’ (Destiny) in 2019.
